Bored with your exercise program?  Or don’t have one?  Try something new!  I discovered Stand Up Paddleboarding last summer and went again last week.  When you do something so fun, while taking in the scenery, you forget it’s actually good for you.  Good for your body and soul (and my lucky kids each got a ride at the end!).

Something I often hear is that people are afraid to try something new because they are intimidated or afraid they won’t succeed, or even worse, afraid they will make a fool out of themselves.  I urge you to put those feelings aside.

I was intimidated by the idea of paddleboarding before I tried it.  I wondered if I could really balance or if my arms were strong enough to paddle myself around in the wind.  But I got up the courage.  And I loved it!  It was easier than it looked and completely enjoyable.  I would’ve really missed out.

Go ahead, jump on the board.  You’ll never know unless you try, and you certainly can’t meet your goals without putting yourself out there!  Chances are no one is watching you, they are too busy worrying about themselves.
