Pumpkin Spice is everywhere this time of year, right? If you love your Pumpkin Spice Latte, I know you’re going to love these!
I made these energy bites with pepitas (pumpkin seeds), but you could easily use a combo of raw cashews and raw almonds if you don’t have any nut allergies to deal with.
This recipe makes about a dozen bites, and they will keep well in the freezer if you want to make a bunch and take a few out at a time.
I chose to use Essential Oils in these bites. If you don’t have oils, you could use dried spices instead. I prefer EO’s so I get the therapeutic benefits as well:
- Clove has powerful antioxidant properties.. perfect for this time of year!
- Cinnamon supports a healthy metabolism (yes please).
- Ginger is awesome for supporting digestion, another must-have for weight management since it’s all about how well your food is digesting!

1 cup raw pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
1/2 cup medjool dates, pitted
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
1 drop each Cinnamon, Ginger and Clove EO
Pinch of sea salt
Mix EO’s into pumpkin puree
Add all puree, pepitas, dates and salt to a blender or food processor and pulse until well-combined.
Form into balls.
Makes about 1 dozen.
**Store in refrigerator. Substitute 1/2 cup raw cashews and 1/2 cup raw almonds for pepitas if desired.
