Who doesn’t feel like a treat on a Friday night? Once the kids go to bed and you actually get to relax, try this almond milk shake. At 9:00 on a Friday night, there are much worse things to treat yourself with! My kids would’ve loved this too, but last night my husband and I got to enjoy it all to ourselves.
Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake (serves 2)
- 2 cups almond milk (or less if you like a thicker milkshake)
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 1-2 tbsp chia seeds (you could omit but they are a great thickener and SO good for you)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- About 1 cup ice
Blend all ingredients and enjoy!
If you’re not crazy about peanut butter like I am, try almond butter and almond extract instead! This may be my Saturday night treat . . . .
