I’m not much of a DIYer, but I love homemade gifts! I make this granola every year for teachers and neighbors, so I figured if I can handle that, I can handle Sugar Scrub!
It’s simple to make, and so appreciated!
We all get dry skin this time of year, and this sugar scrub is so soothing and moisturizing. Add in essential oils, and the smell alone will make you want to use it every day (not to mention the benefits you get from the oils!).
Essential oils are awesome gifts on their own, but I love that you can make thoughtful homemade gifts with them too.
Here’s a video explaining Sugar Hand Scrubs:
Here’s the recipe:
- 4 parts Organic Sugar
- 1 part Organic Coconut Oil
- 5-10 drops essential oil (depending on the size of batch)
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
- 10 drops essential oil
Which Essential Oils to use?
Some of my favorites are:
- Lavender (soothing to skin!)
- Bergamot (also great for skin!)
- Lemongrass (smells like a spa and purifies skin)
- Eucalyptus (spa-like and promotes relaxation)
- Peppermint (energizing)
- Spearmint (uplifts mood)
- Lemon (cleansing)
You can combine these oils too! Use 1/2 Lemongrass and 1/2 Eucalyptus, for example. Super luxurious!
Give it a try! You’ll be so proud to give these gifts!
(Honestly, my 9 year-old daughter has been making these like crazy, so if she can do it, we all can!)
