Stock the freezer with bananas!
You’re going to want to eat this all summer long.
Banana ‘ice cream’ all started for us a few years ago. (See the original post here.) Since then, we’ve been making it a few times a week every summer.
Today I made a version that is so good, I just had to share it! Orange Dreamsicle. DELICIOUS! 3 super-simple ingredients make an ‘ice cream’ you can feel good about.
- Bananas A high-sugar fruit, yes, but they are all full of fiber and potassium. I’m not eating bananas all day long, but I’d much rather eat a banana than refined sugar found in regular ice cream!
- doTERRA Wild Orange Essential Oil Wild Orange contains powerful antioxidants, and when taken internally, it’s a great boost to the immune system.
- Vanilla Extract Or you can get fancy and use vanilla bean:)
Peel, cut and freeze bananas overnight.
Add 2-3 bananas to high-speed blender or food processor with a splash of vanilla and 2 drops of Wild Orange essential oil. Process until smooth. Serve immediately, or put in popsicle molds and re-freeze for 1 hour.
*If you do not have a powerful blender, you may need to add a little milk of choice as you process. Be patient, it’s worth it!
