Avocado chocolate pudding

Is Healthy Chocolate Dessert an oxymoron? Kind of sounds like it! 

Honestly dark chocolate isn’t so bad for you, according to most experts. Cacao has a lot going for it! 

When I’m cleansing, like I am right now (I’m going through my 14-Day Cleanse), then I remove all refined sugar, so even dark chocolate is off the table.

So what’s a chocolate-lover like me to do? Make dessert with raw cacao powder and avocados, of course!

I have another chocolate avocado pudding on my blog, but I upgraded this one even more to use dates in place of honey as the sweetener.

I think this stuff is crazy-good. Word of warning, if you don’t like avocados then you may not like this. Avocado simply adds richness to me, but if you don’t like avocado, you’ll pick out the flavor for sure (especially if you don’t add peppermint).

You can add a flavor bonus to this pudding to take it up a notch. Add a drop of Peppermint or Wild Orange doTERRA essential oil. YUM! My favorite is peppermint.

Antioxidants in raw cacao, healthy fats in avocado and coconut milk, energy-boosting peppermint or orange essential oil… all wrapped up in a super fast and super simple dessert that you can feel good about (and eat on a cleanse!). Life is so good!

Healthy Chocolate Pudding
Serves 2
Super simple, rich and delicious (and perfectly fine during my cleanse!)

  1. 1 large avocado
  2. 2 medjool dates, pitted
  3. 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk (or milk of choice)
  4. 2 tablespoons raw cacao powder (or unsweetened cocoa powder)
  5. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  6. 1 drop doTERRA peppermint or wild orange essential oil (optional)
  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Add additional milk if needed for a thinner pudding.
  1. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
