Once and for all, we’re going to do this!

Right?!

New Year’s Goals or Resolutions or whatever you want to call them, have a bad reputation. Why is that?

Because every year we set them, and every year we fail. Right? So what we have is a long track record of never following through, and our confidence is shot.

Why even bother?

I want to challenge you to try again this year. If you don’t know what you want and set a clear intention to have it, nothing will ever change.

I know you can have what’s in your heart!

Here are 3 steps to be successful this year: (These work!!!)

  1. Take Baby Steps to Build Confidence. Don’t make some crazy goal like getting up at 5am to work out 7 days a week if you don’t work out at all right now. That’s too big of a stretch. Start small, like committing to 3 days per week. Every week that passes that you will gain confidence in your ability to follow through. Want to eat healthier? Instead of promising yourself you’ll never eat another cookie, find a plan you can stick to for the long term. Every meal that you make good choices, your confidence builds. You’ll get stronger and stronger, and that confidence will carry you through the tough times!
  2. Commit to yourself. You’ve got to love and respect yourself enough to stay committed. You wouldn’t bail on your kids or your grandma if you promised them something, right? So why would you bail on yourself? If your goal is truly something you desire, then I believe it’s meant for you. But no one is going to hand it over on a silver platter. There is learning and growing in the journey! Check in with yourself every single evening and see how you did. Have an off-day? Pick up again tomorrow. Stay the course. P.S. You’ll have those moments when things get hard when you’ll tell yourself you don’t really care, you didn’t really want it anyway. Don’t listen to that crazy voice. Keep going!
  3. Use the powerful tools available to help you. It may seem too simple to really work, but essential oils are extremely powerful to alter your emotional state. When you’re in the right head space, the sky’s the limit. Want to eat healthier? Diffuse Grapefruit for motivation. Saying no to sweets? Add a drop of Slim & Sassy to your water. Working out in the morning? Start the day by inhaling Peppermint for an energy boost. Finally writing that book? Diffuse Passion to fuel your inspiration. Going back to school? Diffuse Rosemary to maintain alertness and reduce fatigue.

What goals are you setting for the New Year? Leave a comment! Studies show that when you share your goals, you’re more likely to achieve them 🙂
