Back to the Gym in 2017?
Whether you’re getting into a new fitness routine, upping your game, or just prone to the occasional aches and pains from your hard work, essential oils can be very beneficial.
Here are three essential oils I love and use often to make working out a little easier:
Peppermint Need an energy boost to get you off the couch (or in my case, out of bed in the morning!)? Inhaling peppermint is exactly what you need. I typically work out early in the morning, and the scent of peppermint essential oil gives me the help I need to have a productive workout. If you’re feeling drowsy in the afternoon but planned to get that after-work walk in, put a drop of peppermint in your hands, cup your hands over your nose and mouth, and inhale deeply. Instant boost!
Breathe Respiratory Blend For easier breathing, this oil is my favorite. Whether you need help because you have a bit of a cold, or you want to take your workout outdoors and you struggle with effects from seasonal changes, Breathe is a great choice. Put a drop under your nose or on your chest, or inhale like I suggested doing with Peppermint. You will experience relief and be able to keep on going!
Deep Blue Soothing Blend This essential oil blend will definitely become your best friend if you suffer from stiffness, aches or pains. Not only does Deep Blue come in a classic essential oil bottle, a roll-on bottle, and a 4oz lotion rub, you can buy the rub by the liter! (perfect for those like me who over-do the weights and use this stuff 2x per day some weeks.) Deep Blue also comes in a convenient softgel supplement to support joint comfort and function and soothe aches. *This is the product that first made a believer out of my husband with the power of essential oils!
Keep these essential oils in mind as you get moving!
